Connect Zoom once on the Integrations page, then build an automation that picks up each new cloud recording. The older route through Zapier still works, so a Zap you already have keeps running.
Turn on cloud recording first
Speak AI can only pick up a recording Zoom has stored in the cloud, whichever route you use.
- Sign in to Zoom and open Settings, then Recording.
- Turn on Cloud recording.
- Record a meeting and wait for Zoom to finish processing it.
Connect your Zoom account
- Open Integrations in the sidebar.
- Find Zoom under Meetings, or search for it by name.
- Select Connect, then sign in to Zoom and approve access.
A green Connected badge appears on the row once it is done.
Cloud recording is a paid feature on Zoom’s side. If the plan on the account you connected does not include it, the connection itself still succeeds, and Speak AI tells you the account cannot be used in an automation.
Bring new recordings in automatically
Connecting the account does not import anything on its own. Build an automation and pick New Zoom cloud recording as its trigger. There is nothing to scope: it watches the account you connected, so every new cloud recording on it starts a run. The file arrives named after the meeting topic, and the rest of the automation treats it like any other new recording.
Zoom keeps more than one file for a single meeting, a video and an audio track for example. Speak AI takes one file per meeting, the video where there is one and the audio otherwise, so a meeting comes in once rather than once per file. A meeting Zoom stored with no audio or video, only a chat log, has nothing to bring in.
Or import through Zapier
The Zoom template is unchanged, and the Integrations page still carries a Zoom Recordings card that links out to it. The trigger, the action and the field mapping are on the Zapier page: Zoom.
On this route Zoom share links have to be reachable without a password. If a recording never arrives, turn off password protection on it and check the link opens in a private browser window.
What you get
- Recordings transcribe automatically and are stored as searchable text.
- Your audio, video and text sit in one library, so you can find a moment across all of them at once.
- Tags group files by project. See Tags.
- You can share or export a clip of the part that matters. See Clips.
