Use the Speak AI MCP server tool get_media_status to check the processing status
of a media file.
What does it do?
Check the processing status of a media file. States: pending → transcribing →
analyzing → processed (or failed). Poll this after upload_media until state is
‘processed’, then use get_transcript and get_media_insights to retrieve results.
Parameters
get_media_status takes 1 parameter, all of them required.

The Speak AI MCP server publishes these behaviour hints for get_media_status.
- Only reads data. Does not modify your workspace.
- Does not delete or overwrite existing data.
- Repeating an identical call is safe.
- Stays inside Speak AI. Does not reach other systems.
