# Apply Voice Instruction Gap

Use the Speak AI MCP server tool `apply_voice_instruction_gap` to insert a suggested
instruction patch into a voice agent's instructions and persist the result.

## What does it do?

Insert a suggested instruction patch into a voice agent's instructions and persist
the result. Requires the OWNER or ADMIN role. suggestedPatch is typically taken
directly from `analyze_voice_instruction_gaps`.

## Parameters

`apply_voice_instruction_gap` takes 3 parameters, 2 of them required.

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `agentId` | string | Yes | ID of the voice agent (from `list_voice_agents`) |
| `suggestedPatch` | string | Yes |  |
| `insertAfterSection` | string or null | No | Insert after this named section heading; omit or null to append at the end. |

## Behaviour

The Speak AI MCP server publishes these behaviour hints for
`apply_voice_instruction_gap`.

- Can change data in your workspace.
- Can delete or overwrite data. Use with care.
- Repeating an identical call can have an extra effect.
- Stays inside Speak AI. Does not reach other systems.
