# Add Voice KB Gap

`add_voice_kb_gap` is a tool in the Speak AI MCP server. Write a knowledge-base
gap's answer into the voice agent's attached knowledge base as a new document, and
mark the gap added.

## What does it do?

Write a knowledge-base gap's answer into the voice agent's attached knowledge base
as a new document, and mark the gap added. Requires the OWNER or ADMIN role. Fails
with 409 if the gap was already added or dismissed, or if the agent has no knowledge
base collection to write into.

## Parameters

`add_voice_kb_gap` takes 4 parameters, 2 of them required.

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `agentId` | string | Yes | ID of the voice agent (from `list_voice_agents`) |
| `gapId` | string | Yes | ID of the gap (from `list_voice_kb_gaps`) |
| `answer` | string | No | Overrides the gap's suggested answer. |
| `title` | string | No | Overrides the gap's suggested title. |

## Behaviour

The Speak AI MCP server publishes these behaviour hints for `add_voice_kb_gap`.

- Can change data in your workspace.
- Does not delete or overwrite existing data.
- Repeating an identical call can have an extra effect.
- Stays inside Speak AI. Does not reach other systems.
