# List Prompt Templates

Use the Speak AI MCP server tool `list_prompts` to list all available AI Chat
templates.

## What does it do?

List all available AI Chat templates. Use template IDs with `ask_ai_chat`'s
assistantTemplateId parameter when using assistantType 'custom'.

## Parameters

`list_prompts` takes no parameters.

## Behaviour

The Speak AI MCP server publishes these behaviour hints for `list_prompts`.

- Only reads data. Does not modify your workspace.
- Does not delete or overwrite existing data.
- Repeating an identical call is safe.
- Stays inside Speak AI. Does not reach other systems.
