# Delete Chat Conversation

Use the Speak AI MCP server tool `delete_chat_conversation` to delete an entire chat
conversation from conversation history, so it and its messages no longer appear.

## What does it do?

Delete an entire chat conversation from conversation history, so it and its messages
no longer appear. No tool can restore it.

## Parameters

`delete_chat_conversation` takes 1 parameter, all of them required.

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `promptId` | string | Yes | ID of the conversation (promptId) to delete |

## Behaviour

The Speak AI MCP server publishes these behaviour hints for
`delete_chat_conversation`.

- Can change data in your workspace.
- Can delete or overwrite data. Use with care.
- Repeating an identical call is safe.
- Stays inside Speak AI. Does not reach other systems.
