# Delete Comment

Use the Speak AI MCP server tool `delete_comment` to delete a comment.

## What does it do?

Delete a comment. Deleting a thread's first comment keeps its replies visible under
an empty placeholder. You can always delete your own comments; deleting someone
else's needs the comments delete permission (owners and admins by default),
otherwise 403. The change is recorded in your Speak Notifications under Comment
(type comment).

## Parameters

`delete_comment` takes 2 parameters, all of them required.

| `mediaId` | string | Yes | Media id |
| `commentId` | string | Yes | commentId from `list_media_comments` |

## Behaviour

The Speak AI MCP server publishes these behaviour hints for `delete_comment`.

- Can change data in your workspace.
- Can delete or overwrite data. Use with care.
- Repeating an identical call is safe.
- Stays inside Speak AI. Does not reach other systems.
