# Check Embed Exists

Use the Speak AI MCP server tool `check_embed` to check if an embed exists for a
media file and retrieve its configuration.

## What does it do?

Check if an embed exists for a media file and retrieve its configuration.

## Parameters

`check_embed` takes 1 parameter, all of them required.

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `mediaId` | string | Yes | Unique identifier of the media file |

## Behaviour

The Speak AI MCP server publishes these behaviour hints for `check_embed`.

- Only reads data. Does not modify your workspace.
- Does not delete or overwrite existing data.
- Repeating an identical call is safe.
- Stays inside Speak AI. Does not reach other systems.
